CURRENT INJECTION

Current Injection describes a method of shortening the signal path and improves the sound quality and measurement specs significantly.

The effective simplicity of Current Injection requires a non-feedback-loop amplifier. While Current Injection replaces the voltage amplifier LEF guarantees best performance of the current amplifier with low THD.

Both technologies complement each other and overcome the limitations of traditional circuitry to a better standard of music reproduction.

POWER SUPPLY CONCEPT

The switching power supply finally provides the secondary voltages according to the units requirements. The pre regulated 400VDC input as well as the small power variation of CD5300 allow an operation at optimum frequency and duty cycle range.

In order to minimize the switching noise the switching point is optimized as close to zero as possible. An optical feedback loop regulates the output voltages. However, every switching power supply creates at least some high frequency noise, which is removed by another multi-stage power line filter.

Noise within and even far beyond the audio band is at minimum level. The impedance of this power supply is very low almost flat within the audio frequency range, unlike traditional power supplies.

This way all special audio circuitry of CD5300 are enabled to work at optimum performance for best sound quality.
